Our family recently increased from being a two dog household to a four dog household when I decided to move us in with my boyfriend. Now we have a home with a 12yr old boxer/akita cross, a 9yr old english bulldog, our 7yr old lab/sheperd cross, and our 1yr old pug.
Owning four dogs is a crazy undertaking and I wouldn’t recommend it. Not only do they produce a lot of poop and hair, but it is a bit of a hassle to keep everyone in line. But they are all so darn cute.

I have a very special soft spot for pugs. I ADORE pugs and I think they are just about the cutest creatures on earth.
Imagine how much I squealed and giggled when I found this interactive animation with cute little farty pugs at the Puggy Day Care!

I took my pug to the monthly Pug Meetup today. It was the Easter Meetup, and everyone got a door prize. Our price was a very funny Easter collar. Chublet didn’t think much of it, and refused to run and play once it was put on. However, when I returned home, Anna was excited that I might have brought something home for her, so I put it around her neck instead.
She was SO HAPPY to run around wearing this new collar. She’s always eccstatic to have something new and it’s pretty funny to see her walking around the house so happy. Check out the pics, I think it’s hilarious!

I like to take my dogs to local dog meetups as they provide a really great place for them to play and socialize with other dogs. If you aren’t familiar with meetups, be sure to check out Meetup.com.
While searching for a new meetup that my large dog could attend, I discovered a large breed meetup with a photo of a dog that looked much like her. I found this odd as I have never seen another dog with brindle markings quite like hers. Looking at the photo, the dog almost looked exactly like her. I realized that this could actually be one of her littermates, as she had a sister that looked almost identical to her.
I wrote to the woman who had posted the photo and asked if she had adopted her dog from the same rescue foundation or not, and what the dog’s name was. Turns out this dog is actually my dog’s sister!
I went to the meetup this week, and it was SO cool to see this other dog who is related to mine. It was so weird how many similarities there were between the two of them. I had forgotten my camera, but luckily a friend was able to snap this one and share it with me via email.
Check it out! My dog Anna is on the left:

It has been quite a long period of time since my last blog entry, and a lot of things have happened. In early April 2007, our black pug Mr. Meaty was hit by a car and killed. It was an extremely difficult time. We had a funeral and had him buried at a local pet cemetary, which helped to bring us some closure.
After waiting four months, we decided it was time to bring another pug baby into our lives, and we adopted Chublet. He is a beautiful fawn boy who is just as rambunctious and crazy as our Meaty, and we love him to bits and pieces. He has really helped to heal my heart.
Anna (our big dog) was honestly happy to have Meaty gone. She soaked up all the attention and started acting like a playful puppy again. I was nervous to introduce a new pup because I felt she might retreat once more and behave in a less joyful manner, but to my surprise she was quite excited to have Chublet around. I think now that he’s older, she is beginning to tire of his constant pestering, but I will work hard to get him to behave and give her some peace.
I am now running a dog daycare from my home and we often have different dogs visiting and playing. As such, I’m gaining experience with all different breeds and personalities, and it’s quite fun for the most part.
I have decided to start up the Adventure Dog Blog once more, and hopefully will have some great posts for you! I’m glad to be back.
